This is a typical must do if you are visiting the Canyonlands National Park.
Mesa Arch is in the "Island in the Sky" part of Canyonlands. You will find it easily as you are driving along the road. There is a parking lot here.
Make time to do this easy hike; it is worth it. The view is stunning. Visiting Mesa Arch at sunrise is well worth getting up early. You probably won't be alone as this is a must-do for photographers.
Mesa Arch is classified as a pothole arch because it was formed by surface water that pooled on the sandstone behind the arch, slowly eroding the rock.
